Svetlana Kirsanova, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank:

“Being a top three merchant acquirer worldwide means Sber plays a leading role in moving the global cashless transactions forward. The ranking stands for a vital metric – the number of transactions inside a merchant acquirer’s network, including payments in outlets and online stores. We pay particular attention to the quality of our customer services improving our offerings all the time. Therefore, what we really value is that our customers choose us as a partner for running their cashless business, which in today’s reality is relevant and popular all over the world as never before.”

Other leaders of the ranking are Worldpay payment provider that took the first place and JPMorgan Chase, which ranked second.

The Nilson Report carries out global research on bank cards and payments. The company publishes an eponymous magazine recognized by the market players. The Nilson Report recognized Sberbank as the largest merchant acquirer in Europe in 2016 and 2017.
