Sberbank’s hotline on business operations amid coronavirus receives over 300 calls
- 300+ calls registered during hotline’s first days
- 50% of callers interested in how to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease
- Customers from Moscow, Sochi, Saratov, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg make most of calls
- Hotline available at 8 (800) 200-34-40 daily from midnight to 8 pm Msk
March 24, 2020, Moscow — Sberbank’s hotline for corporate customers who have questions regarding bank operations amid the COVID-19 outbreak has received over 300 calls since it became available (between Friday and Monday inclusive). Most of the questions came from the customers of Moscow, Yugo-Zapadny, Severo-Zapadny, Uralsky, and Srednerussky banks of Sberbank.
Half of the calls concerned COVID-19 – how to prevent, diagnose, and cure it – and quarantine guidelines. Businessmen were also interested in the hours of operation of different bank branches and sought advice on online services (14%), servicing their loans (10%), how CIT vehicles and cash get disinfected and other issues (6%). The hotline also answered some coronavirus-related questions of individuals (9%), or redirected them to specific agencies, if the questions did not relate to operations of entities.

“In a difficult situation like that, it’s crucial that we always stay in touch with our customers, explain what the bank does, and answer all their questions. Sberbank chapters servicing corporate customers operate routinely. We take all the possible precautions and carefully meet the health and safety regulations. However, to prevent the spread we recommend our clients move all bank transactions online and keep to a minimum their visits to our branches and other public places, and the use of public transport.”
Sberbank has also launched a new website page, called Remote Business, to help its corporate customers change their business processes as efficiently as possible. The webpage features the bank’s most relevant free offers, discounts, and useful services to start working from home online. In the first 24 hours since its launch, the webpage attracted over 5,000 users.
More than 1,000 users downloaded instructions from SberSolutions on how to help businesses start working remotely. Over 100 entities have taken advantage of the special CRM 24 deal (RUB0 for 2 months), letting them organize the work of employees remotely. The service features a task tracker, a CRM, and a video conferencing solution.
