Yuri Bashmet, Denis Matsuev, Konstantin Khabensky, and many other celebrities to take part in Victory concert on Mamayev Kurgan
June 24, 2020, Moscow — Okko online cinema will show a festive concert dedicated to the 75th anniversary of WWII Victory on June 26 at 7:00 pm. The record will be available to all registered users in the Art Online section.
The Victory concert is being held on Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, in the foothills of the Motherland Calls! monument, the key symbol of people’s feat, which has been reopened after renovation today.
Celebrities taking part in the concert include the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia led by Yuri Bashmet, Denis Matsuev, Igor Butman, Ildar Abdrazakov, Hibla Gerzmava, Konstantin Khabensky, Aida Garifullina, Sergei Garmash, Sergei Bezrukov, Mikhail Porechenkov, Alexander Petrov, Irina Pegova, Polina Agureeva, Dima Bilan, Sergey Mazayev, and Nikolay Rastorguyev.
The key part of the program is a theatrical and musical performance based on famous songs and poems about the Victory. The performance features large-scale scenery and unique visual effects, including full 3D mapping (projecting three-dimensional images) of the Motherland Calls! monument.
The concert has been organized by the Russian Concert Agency and Russia TV channel with support from the Russian Ministry of Culture, the Presidential Grants Foundation, and the administration of Volgograd Region. The event is being held with support from Sberbank.Art Online is a joint project by Sberbank and Okko multimedia service that unlocks free access to more than 300 performances, concerts, virtual tours, and other pieces of video content from leading Russian art venues. The collection includes paid concerts and performances by world classic stars. The media library gets updated daily.
