Sberbank CIB provides Atomenergoprom JSC with loan worth RUB 10 bln

November 3, 2016, Moscow – On October 31, Sberbank CIB entered into an agreement to provide overdraft lending to Atomenergoprom JSC with a RUB 10 bln limit. Funds will used to finance the cash shortages of the company, which holds the civil assets of the Russian atomic industry.

Vadim Logofet, Managing Director, Head of the Energy Division of Sberbank CIB’s Client Management Department, commented: “Atomenergoprom is one of our key clients that focuses on high-tech solutions and introducing innovations. By signing this agreement, Sberbank demonstrates that it is engaged in creating effective business mechanisms and is committed to providing comprehensive support to the Russian atomic industry, which has significant growth potential.”

Atomenergoprom (part of Rosatom) is an integrated company that brings together the civil assets of the Russian atomic industry. The company provides a full production cycle of nuclear power engineering — from uranium production to nuclear power plant construction and energy generation. It holds 40% of the world uranium enrichment services market and 17% of the world nuclear fuel market (supplies for every 6th reactor in the world).
