Sberbank’s Committee for Minority Shareholder Relations held its meeting

A meeting of Sberbank’s Committee for Minority Shareholder Relations took place in the Bank's Head Office on December 14, 2016.

Independent members of the Supervisory Board – Gennady Melikyan and Nadia Wells – took part in the meeting. The report on the development of Sberbank's corporate governance system was presented by Head of the Corporate Secretary's Service Oleg Tsvetkov.

Commenting on the results of the year, he noted that the enhancement of the Bank’s corporate governance practices had been focused on protection of the shareholders' rights, support of information transparency, implementation of best corporate governance practices in the activity of the Supervisory Board, and cascading of the Bank's corporate governance standards to the companies of the Group.

The independent members of the Supervisory Board answered the questions of Chairman of the Committee for Minority Shareholder Relations Anton Danilov-Danilyan about their work in the Supervisory Board, as well as about the collaboration of the Supervisory Board with the Bank's shareholders through the Committee.

Sberbank's Committee for Minority Shareholder Relations was established for creation in the Bank of the system aimed to maintain efficient communications with the minority shareholders.  The Committee is an advisory and consultative body.  In 2016, the Committee held eight meetings, including three offsite meetings in Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk.
